FAQs

1. Can I use frozen spinach instead of fresh

Yes, but thaw and squeeze out excess water to avoid soggy pakoras. Fresh spinach is preferred for crispiness.

2. Why are my pakoras not crispy

Possible reasons:

  • Too much water in the batter (dry spinach thoroughly).

  • Oil temperature was low (fry at medium-hot heat).

  • Overcrowding the pan while frying.

3. Can I bake or air-fry palak pakora

Yes! For a healthier version:

  • Air-fryer: Lightly brush with oil, cook at 180°C for 10–12 mins, flipping halfway.

  • Oven: Bake at 200°C for 15–20 mins on a greased tray.

4. How do I store leftovers

  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for 1–2 days.

  • Reheat in an oven/air-fryer to retain crispiness (avoid microwaving).
