Kaala Chana Soup And Chaat Recipe

Ingredients: For Soup

1 Cup black chickpeas (soaked overnight)

3 NOS green chili

1 Inch ginger

13-14 Cloves of garlic

Water as needed (for paste)

1 NOS tomato

Salt to taste

1/2 Tablespoon turmeric powder

1 Tablespoon coriander powder

1/2 Tablespoon garam masala

1 Tablespoon Kashmiri red chili powder

1/2 Tablespoon cumin seed

1/4 Black pepper powder

1/2 Tablespoon cumin powder

1 Tablespoon black salt

1 Tablespoon dry mango powder

As needed water

Lemon juice

Chopped fresh coriander

A handful mint leaves

Step:1

Wash and soak the chickpeas overnight or you also get soaked chickpeas in the market , you need 2 cups of soaked chickpeas

Step:2

Add the ginger , garlic and green chili in a small mixer jar along with some water and blend it into a fine paste

Step:3

Now in a pressure cooker add the soaked chickpeas after discarding the water , roughly cut the tomato into quarters and then add salt along with all the powdered spices followed by water , add about 3 liters of water and stir well

Step:4

Next , put the lid on and pressure cook the chickpeas over medium high flame and let it depressurize naturally

Then check the whistle for any excess pressure and open the lid stir well . check if the chickpeas are cooked by pressing one between your fingers

Step:6

At this step , stir well , switch on the flame to high and bring the soup to a simmer

Step:7

Taste and adjust seasoning if required . Lastly add some chopped fresh coriander and mint

Step:8

Your delicious , no oil healthy chana soup is ready serve it hot

Tomato chopped

Onion chopped

Apple (Diced)

Pineapple (Diced)

Pomegranate

Giger chopped

Green chili chopped

Chaat masala

Black salt

Lemon juice

Jaggery and tamarind chutney

Fresh coriander peppermint

Step:1

To make the chaat , simply strain the boiled chickpeas as needed and add all the ingredients of the assembly as per your taste , you can sike the fruit that you don’t like and add preferred ones

Step:2

Just stir well and then serve , your delicious , fresh and flavor chaat is ready
