Lauki Ka Cheela Recipe

Ingredients

1/2 Medium size battle gourd

1 Medium size carrot

1 NOS chopped onion

2 NOS chopped green chili

2 Tablespoon chopped ginger

1/2 Tablespoon carom seeds crushed

1 Tablespoon white sesame

A large pinch cumin seeds

1/4 Cup gram flour

1/2 Cup rice flour

1/2 Cup jowar flour

Salt to taste

1/2 Tablespoon black pepper freshly crushed

1/2 Tablespoon turmeric powder

2 Tablespoon Kashmiri red chili powder

1 Tablespoon coriander powder

As needed water

A handful fresh coriander leaves

As needed ghee

Step:1

Peel the bottle gourd and carrot  , then grate them into a large bowl using a large hole grater

Step:2

Add all the other ingredients and mix well before adding any water

Step:3

Gradually add water while mixing and make a semi thick batter , similar to dosa

Step:4

To cook the cheela , set a pan over high flame and let it get moderately hot

Step:5

Place a ladle full of batter and spread it to make the cheela , i like to keep it slightly thin , cook the cheela over medium low flame

Step:6

Once the batter sets on tge top , add ghee and cook the cheela until the bottom layer is set

Step:7

Flip the cheela , add more ghee and cook until the cheela turns golden brown from both sides . Your delicious , quick and easy lauki ka cheela is ready now let’s make green chutney

Ingredients For Green Chutney

1 Cup fresh green coriander

2-3 NOS green chili

1 Inch ginger

2 Tablespoon roasted peanuts

1 Tablespoon cumin seeds

1 Tablespoon sugar

1 Lemon juice

Salt to taste

1-2 NOS of ICE cubes

Step:1

Add all the ingredients of the chutney into a mixer jar and grid it , the delicious green chutney is ready . Serve it the chutney  with cheela and enjoy it
